LONG COVID SYMPTOMS
Most Common Symptoms
Fatigue
Fatigue is a lingering tiredness that is constant and limiting. With fatigue, you have unexplained, persistent, and relapsing exhaustion.
Brain Fog
Brain fog is a common group of symptoms that affect how you think, remember and concentrate. It can make doing ordinary tasks challenging.
Post-exertional malaise
Post-exertional malaise (PEM) refers to a worsening of the illness after physical or cognitive exertion which was previously tolerated.
Pain/Body Aches
ody aches can result from tiredness or exercise and commonly occur with infections.
Heart palpitations
Heart palpitations are feelings of having a fast-beating, fluttering or pounding heart
Shortness of breath
Shortness of breath is the uncomfortable feeling that you are running out of air or are not able to breathe deeply enough.
Nausea
Nausea is the sensation of having to vomit or having the urge to vomit. Vomiting may or may not occur as a result of nausea, an unsettled feeling in the stomach or queasiness.
Depression/anxiety
Anxiety is characterized by excessive worry and fear, while depression is marked by persistent sadness and a loss of interest.
Loss of smell
Losing taste and smell can be an early symptom of a COVID-19 infection. A complete loss of smell (anosmia) or loss of taste (ageusia) is rare.

Pins and needles
‘Pins and needles’ are a sensation of uncomfortable tingling or prickling, usually felt in the arms, legs, hands or feet.
Migraines
A migraine is a headache that can cause severe throbbing pain or a pulsing sensation, usually on one side of the head.
Stomach pain
A discomfort that you feel in your belly area.
Sleep issues
Problems can include insomnia, daytime sleepiness, waking up several times a night, or not feeling refreshed in the morning.
Cough
Fever
Increased body temperature, sweats, and/or chills
Hair loss
Hair loss, also known as alopecia or baldness, refers to a loss of hair from part of the head or body.
Earaches
COVID-19 can cause an earache, with effects that include ear pain, hearing loss, or dizziness.
Chest pain
A dull ache, a crushing or burning feeling, a sharp stabbing pain or a pain that radiates to your neck or shoulder.
Rashes
These may be large, flat blotches, or itchy, raised spots or welts called hives on arms, legs or on the center part of the body, called the trunk.
Changes in menstrual cycle
Experiencing small, temporary changes in menstrual cycle length.
